My ministry partners, Amanda and Victoria, and I have been spending time at 7th Heaven Orphanage for about a week now. All of us have absolutely fallen in love with the children; Linda, Tessa, Renaldo, and Cornelious, and their mother  Nelly. I'd like to tell you a little about Nelly, and the amazing woman of God that she is.
Nelly gets up early every morning to get the children ready for the day, Linda, Tessa, and Renaldo all go to school until one in the afternoon. After she sends them off, she gets started with her daily work, which consists of; cleaning, laundry, lots of phone calls, random visitors, picking up medicine, grocery shopping, and taking care of Cornelious. She doesn't have a paying job, and doesn't recieve much money from the government. Nelly relys soley on God to provide for all of the needs of the children and herself.
We'd really like to do something special for her while we're here. She works so hard to raise these kids, never knowing when another chilld will land on her doorstep. If anyone deserves a break, this selfless woman is it. What we're looking at doing is getting her a hotel room on the ocean for a night, a gift certificate to a local resturant, and hopefully a pedicure. The three of us, along with a leader or two, will stay with the kids for the night. We will get there early so can take the entire day to relax and enjoy God.  Nelly has the faith that can move mountians, a love that could turn evil to good.
